Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. From the initial phone call to the finished product, it was a joy working with Thomas on selecting, buying and building the commercial sauna for Bothán Sauna.

We looked at a few options but went with Polaris because of Thomas's professionalism and his quick, knowledgeable responses. We ordered the 3 x 2.2m cube. We opted for the thermowood upgrade due to our windy location. It's rated for six occupancy, but it's far more spacious than that suggests, and it has great height too, which suits our 6ft 3in brother.

When our own build fell behind, Thomas kindly held delivery until we were ready. It was a godsend. No extra charge just very helpful and understanding.

Thomas and Jorge, his very talented carpenter, built the sauna on site over three days. What we loved most was their attention to detail. No shortcuts, and it makes all the difference. We had one snag during testing after the build. Not an issue: Jorge was back a couple of days later to fix it, and everything has worked perfectly since.

We're excited to be up and running and delighted we chose Polaris. We highly recommend them to anyone buying a new sauna.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I purchased a barrel sauna from Thomas in August 2026. Thomas was utterly professional, conscientious, and a pleasure to deal with. The sauna was fitted in Waterville Co.Kerry, and the premises isn't the easiest place to access. However, Thomas and his fitter Jörg assembled the sauna on-site over a couple of days and kept us up to date at all times with the developments. The finished job was outstanding, my family and I are delighted with it. Top marks to Polaris Saunas, Thomas and his team.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. From start to finish, we cannot recommend Thomas and his team highly enough. From the initial meeting to discussing options, to agreeing the final product and then installation, was first class. The attention to detail, the pre and post installation, advice and help to two novices was excellent. We are delighted with the final product and look forward to working with Thomas again in the future as a hot tub is next on the list.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I couldn’t recommend Thomas and his team Moore. We chose the smallest Sauna as we needed to fit it in a narrow space and his website was the first one we found but not even knowing him his pre-and post insulation service has been fantastic. The sauna is also brilliant.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently purchased a sauna from Thomas at Polaris Sauna, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with both the product and the service.

After a very disappointing experience with another sauna company—where I was left waiting for three months and then completely ignored when I tried to follow up—I was understandably hesitant about buying again. However, Thomas completely restored my confidence.

From the very beginning, he was kind, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. He took the time to walk me through the best option for my space and how I intended to use the sauna. No matter how many times I called or how many questions I had, he was always calm, understanding, and genuinely helpful. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble.

The sauna itself is working perfectly, and it’s clear that great care went into ensuring everything was just right—even down to supplying the exact amount of stones needed.

If all customer service was like this, life would be a lot easier. I would highly recommend Thomas at Polaris Sauna to anyone considering a sauna. An absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish.

I wish Thomas the very best

What is an Outdoor Hot Tub and how is it different from a whirlpool?

An Outdoor Hot Tub is a freestanding soaking tub designed for outdoor use. Depending on the model, it can be heated with a wood-fired stove, an electric heater, or a combination of both.

Unlike a conventional whirlpool, which is usually electrically heated and focused on integrated massage functions, an Outdoor Hot Tub often has a simpler and more natural design. Selected models can also include features such as filtration, LED lighting, massage jets and insulated covers.

How long does it take to heat the water in an Outdoor Hot Tub?

Heating time varies depending on the tub size, starting water temperature, outdoor conditions and selected heating system. We will advise you on the expected performance of your chosen configuration.

Can I use my Outdoor Hot Tub in the winter months?

Absolutely! Outdoor Hot Tubs are built for year-round use, including during cold Irish winters. Bathing in warm water surrounded by snow or crisp air is one of the most enjoyable experiences. Just make sure to use a proper thermal cover and, if you leave water in the tub, consider running a filter system or occasionally lighting the stove to prevent freezing.

What materials are used to build an Outdoor Hot Tub?

Most high-quality hot tubs are made from durable, weather-resistant wood (like thermowood, spruce, or pine) for the outer cladding, and a smooth, UV-resistant fiberglass insert for the inner shell. This combination offers a natural look with a hygienic and easy-to-clean surface that is also built to last.

How do I clean and maintain an Outdoor Hot Tub?

Cleaning is straightforward thanks to the smooth inner surface. After each use, you should rinse the interior and clean the filters. For longer water use, a filter system is recommended, and you can optionally add UV disinfection or gentle water care products. A full water change is typically needed every 4–6 weeks, depending on use and water quality.

What heating options are available for an Outdoor Hot Tub?

The traditional method is a wood-burning stove – either integrated or external. This offers complete independence from electricity and provides a cozy, natural experience. Alternatively, or additionally, you can use an electric heater for convenience and automated control. Hybrid options combine both heating types, giving you more flexibility.

How is the Outdoor Hot Tub delivered and installed?

Most Outdoor Hot Tubs arrive pre-assembled – usually about 90% complete. Once placed on a solid, level surface, the chimney needs to be attached, and any optional accessories (like filters or lights) can be installed. Setup is typically simple and includes detailed instructions, making it easy even for beginners.
