Hot tub FAQs
Our hot tubs combine a durable fiberglass inner shell with a Thermowood exterior cladding. The fiberglass shell ensures maximum comfort, hygiene, and easy cleaning thanks to its smooth, non-porous surface. The Thermowood exterior gives the hot tub a natural wooden look while protecting it against outdoor elements, making the tub both stylish and long-lasting.
Thermowood is natural wood that has been heat-treated at high temperatures, which changes its structure and makes it more stable and durable. Unlike untreated spruce, Thermowood is highly resistant to moisture, decay, and warping. It requires less maintenance and retains its shape and color for many years outdoors — an ideal choice for the Irish climate.
The fiberglass surface is smooth, non-porous, and naturally resistant to dirt and bacteria. This makes cleaning very simple: rinse with warm water and use a mild detergent if needed. Harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners are not required and should be avoided to maintain the shine of the surface.
Yes. Both the fiberglass interior and the Thermowood cladding are designed to withstand all weather conditions, from frost in winter to strong summer sun. The fiberglass is UV-resistant and does not fade. To keep the Thermowood looking its best, we recommend oiling the exterior once or twice per year.
With correct installation and proper maintenance, our hot tubs can easily last 15 years or more. In ideal conditions, and with regular care, they can even last a lifetime.
The fiberglass interior only requires regular rinsing and occasional mild cleaning. The Thermowood exterior should be oiled or treated once or twice a year to protect it from moisture and preserve its natural color. Always empty the tub or use a cover to protect it from frost during winter.
Our hot tubs are delivered fully assembled for your convenience. After delivery, you only need to connect the stove to the tub and, if you have ordered additional equipment, assemble the wooden box for the filter and heater and connect them. All other components are pre-installed and ready to use.
Yes. Because a filled hot tub weighs several tons, a flat, stable, and level surface is essential. We recommend a concrete base, decking, or a compacted gravel pad. In some cases, a screw foundation may also be suitable, but this must be checked and confirmed individually to ensure proper stability.
As the hot tub arrives pre-assembled, setup is quick and straightforward. You only need to allow time for connecting the stove and, if ordered, assembling the filter and heater box. With two people, the setup is usually completed in a short time.
Absolutely! All of our hot tubs can be filled with cold water and used as a refreshing plunge pool after a sauna session, during summer, or for cold therapy.
Only common household tools are required: a screwdriver, wrench, level, drill, and measuring tape. No special equipment is necessary for standard installation.
Wood-fired heaters are connected to the tub via flexible hoses that link directly to the water inlets and outlets. Electric heaters are delivered as a complete unit, pre-wired with a pump and filtration system. For safety reasons, installation of electric heaters must always be carried out by a licensed electrician.
Typical delivery time is 6–8 weeks, depending on stock availability, order volume, and any customization options. We will confirm your expected delivery time at the time of purchase.

You can choose between:
– Wood-fired heaters: Traditional heating method, fast warm-up time, and no electricity required. Perfect for off-grid use and those who enjoy the authentic experience of wood fire.
– Electric heaters: Fully automatic and precise temperature control at the push of a button. Ideal for convenience and continuous use.
– Electric heaters always include a pump and filtration system, which ensures proper water circulation and cleanliness.
– Wood-fired heaters do not include a filter by default, but you can add an external filtration system as an optional upgrade if you want to keep the same water for longer periods.
Heating times vary depending on the size of the tub, water volume, outdoor temperature, and heater type:
– Wood-fired heaters: approx. 1.5–2.5 hours to reach bathing temperature.
– Electric heaters: approx. 2–4 hours, depending on power output and water conditions.
For heaters above 6 kW, a 400 V three-phase connection is usually required, in line with standard electrical installation practices. For safety reasons, installation must always be carried out by a licensed electrician
