Comfort Cube Sauna Installation Near Blessington: On-Site Garden Assembly

Fully assembled sauna delivery

Plan a similar sauna for your garden

This project shows how a fully assembled sauna can be delivered and placed in one step, without any on-site construction.

This project near Blessington, Co. Wicklow involved the installation of a Comfort Cube Sauna 2.4 m with two front windows and a Half-Moon Panorama Window at the rear.

The project demonstrates how a modern outdoor sauna can be fully assembled directly on site, even when pre-assembled delivery would technically have been possible.

Preparation and Delivery

Access to the garden was relatively straightforward for this project. Nevertheless, the customer deliberately chose a full on-site assembly instead of a pre-assembled delivery.

The sauna was transported directly by our own delivery team. This allowed all components to be unloaded immediately at the final installation position without requiring additional handling or relocation on site.

A large open lawn area was available for all preparation works. This provided excellent working conditions for organising tools, materials, and assembly components efficiently throughout the installation process.

On-Site Sauna Assembly

Once all components had been prepared on site, the complete sauna assembly was carried out directly in the garden.

The installation included:

  • complete structural assembly,
  • installation of the front windows,
  • installation of the Half-Moon Panorama Window,
  • roof construction,
  • installation of the interior benches,
  • heater preparation,
  • and application of the exterior HK Remmers protective stain.

The black roof shingles were individually glued and nailed into place in order to create a durable and weather-resistant roofing system.

The complete installation was finished within two days, with a maximum of four people working on site during the project.

Thermowood Construction for Irish Weather Conditions

The sauna was constructed entirely from Thermowood.

For Irish weather conditions, we generally recommend Thermowood because it offers significantly better dimensional stability and moisture resistance compared to untreated standard timber.

The additional HK Remmers exterior stain provides further protection against weather exposure and UV conditions.

Half-Moon Panorama Window with Wicklow Mountain Views

One of the main highlights of this project is the Half-Moon Panorama Window positioned at the rear of the sauna.

From the upper benches, the sauna offers open views across the Wicklow Mountains, creating a very calm and spacious atmosphere inside the sauna.

Combined with the Thermowood construction and black roof details, the final result creates a modern outdoor sauna with a natural overall appearance.

Harvia Cilindro PC90 Sauna Heater

The sauna is equipped with a Harvia Cilindro PC90 electric heater.

This model does not require external temperature sensors because the control system is integrated directly into the heater itself. This creates a very clean installation without additional wall-mounted sensors inside the sauna.

The heater operates on a single-phase electrical connection.

Standard Harvia sauna stones in the 5–10 cm size range were used to ensure proper airflow through the heater and efficient heat distribution.

The final electrical connection is completed separately by a local electrician in accordance with local regulations.

Final Result

The completed sauna combines:

  • modern cube-style architecture,
  • Thermowood construction,
  • panoramic window elements,
  • and a powerful Harvia heater

into a high-quality outdoor sauna suitable for year-round use under Irish weather conditions.

Thanks to the large preparation area, direct transport by our own team, and the full on-site assembly process, the project could be completed efficiently and cleanly.

Conclusion

This project near Blessington demonstrates that full on-site assembly can be an excellent solution even when access conditions are relatively straightforward.

With sufficient preparation space, experienced installation teams, and well-organised logistics, the complete sauna installation was completed within two days.

The final result is a modern Thermowood sauna with panoramic Wicklow Mountain views and a construction designed specifically for long-term outdoor use in Ireland.
