Preparation and Installation
The sauna was assembled directly on site at Belmont Demesne and positioned carefully underneath a large tree beside the parking area.
This location allows the sauna to integrate naturally into the surrounding landscape while also making it easily accessible for customer viewings and appointments.
The complete sauna structure was assembled on site, including:
- wall construction,
- roof assembly,
- installation of the front windows,
- installation of the wooden entrance door,
- installation of the rear Half-Moon Window,
- interior bench installation,
- and application of the exterior protective stain.
The black roof shingles were individually glued and nailed into place in order to create a durable and weather-resistant roofing system suitable for Irish outdoor conditions.

Thermowood Construction and Exterior Design
The sauna was constructed entirely from Thermowood and treated externally using HK Remmers stain in the colour Nutwood.
To create additional visual contrast, several exterior elements were intentionally left unstained, including:
- the additional front floor section,
- the wooden door frame,
- and the window frames.
This combination creates a very balanced and high-quality appearance by contrasting the darker stained Thermowood surfaces with natural timber details.
The support feet of the sauna were painted black in order to visually connect them with the black roof construction.
The roof itself consists of many individual shingles, each separately glued and nailed by hand.

Wooden Hoop and Roof Construction
The sauna is equipped with a Wooden Hoop detail surrounding the roof edges.
This design element helps conceal the visible lower edges of the roof shingles and gives the sauna a cleaner and more premium overall appearance.
Combined with the black shingle roof, the result is a modern cube-style sauna with a strong architectural appearance while still maintaining a natural outdoor character.
Interior Layout and Cleaning Features
Inside the sauna, a Harvia Cilindro PC90 electric heater was installed together with standard Harvia sauna stones in the 5–10 cm size range.
A removable floor section was additionally installed between the sauna benches. This allows the floor area underneath to be cleaned more easily and improves long-term maintenance of the sauna interior.
The sauna itself is not connected to electricity and is used exclusively as a permanent display sauna for customer viewings at Belmont Demesne.

The combination of:
- Thermowood construction,
- Nutwood exterior stain,
- black roof shingles,
- natural timber contrast details,
- and the rear Half-Moon Window
creates a very balanced and visually attractive outdoor sauna installation.
Final Result
The completed display sauna combines:

- and carefully selected contrast elements
into a modern outdoor sauna designed specifically for customer demonstrations and showroom purposes.
