Fully assembled sauna delivery
Plan a similar sauna for your garden
This project shows how a fully assembled sauna can be delivered and placed in one step, without any on-site construction.
Every sauna project is different, and some installations require particularly careful planning due to limited space and access restrictions.
For this project, a MiniCube Sauna was installed at a private residence near Navan, Co. Meath. Due to the limited space available in the garden, the MiniCube proved to be the ideal solution, providing a full outdoor sauna experience while requiring only a compact footprint.
Project Overview
The customer selected a MiniCube Sauna featuring:
• Thermowood construction
• CLT front and rear walls
• Thermowood benches
• Harvia Vega 6 kW electric heater
• Glass entrance door
• Black exterior trim package
• Installation by Polaris Sauna
The goal was to create a modern and space-efficient outdoor sauna that would integrate naturally into the existing garden while still providing comfortable space for one to two users.
The Ideal Solution for a Small Garden
The available garden space was relatively limited, making larger sauna models impractical.
The compact dimensions of the MiniCube allowed the customer to add a dedicated wellness area without sacrificing a significant portion of the garden. Despite its small footprint, the sauna comfortably accommodates one to two people and delivers an authentic Finnish sauna experience.
Access Through a Side Entrance
One of the main challenges of this project was access to the installation area.
As the sauna was to be installed in the rear garden, all components had to be transported through a narrow side entrance beside the house. Thanks to the modular construction of the MiniCube, all parts could be moved into position without requiring a crane, telehandler or any other specialist lifting equipment.
Once all components had been transferred into the garden, assembly could begin immediately.
Installation on an Existing Patio
The sauna was installed on an existing patio area.
Although the patio provided a solid base, it featured a slight slope that required levelling before construction could proceed. The support structure was carefully adjusted to ensure the sauna was perfectly level.
Proper levelling is essential for the long-term stability of any outdoor sauna and helps ensure correct door operation, structural integrity and effective water drainage.
Modern Design with CLT Construction
One of the distinctive features of the MiniCube is the use of solid CLT panels for both the front and rear walls.
These panels not only contribute to the structural strength of the sauna but also create a clean, modern appearance. The customer selected the glass door option, which allows additional natural light into the sauna and creates a more open and spacious feel inside.
Combined with the black exterior detailing, the result is a contemporary design that complements both modern and traditional garden settings.
Efficient Two-Day Installation
The installation was completed by a team of two installers over the course of two days.
After transporting all components into the garden, the sauna structure was assembled, levelled and fully completed on site. The Thermowood benches were then installed and all components were carefully checked and aligned.
Despite the restricted access and limited working space, the project progressed smoothly and according to schedule.
Heater Installation
The sauna was equipped with a Harvia Vega 6 kW electric heater.
As this is an electric sauna heater, it was mounted in its final position on the interior wall during the installation process. However, the final electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician arranged by the customer.
This ensures that the installation complies with local electrical regulations and can be operated safely.
Final Result
This project demonstrates how a high-quality outdoor sauna can be successfully integrated into smaller gardens where space is limited.
By combining a compact footprint, premium Thermowood construction, solid CLT elements and a modern design, the MiniCube Sauna provided the ideal solution for this property near Navan.
Completed in just two days by a two-person installation team, the finished sauna now provides its owners with a dedicated outdoor wellness space that can be enjoyed throughout the year.
