High-quality Sauflex olivine diabase sauna stones designed for reliable performance in electric sauna heaters. These rounded stones in the 5–10 cm size range allow optimal airflow between the heating elements and store heat efficiently, creating soft and even steam when water is poured over the stones.
Olivine diabase is widely used in Finnish saunas due to its excellent heat resistance and durability. The stones withstand repeated heating and cooling cycles and maintain their structure and performance over time.
The rounded shape allows water to spread evenly across the surface of the stones, producing the characteristic gentle sauna steam that is essential for a comfortable and authentic sauna experience.
These stones are ideal for most electric sauna heaters, including models from Harvia, HUUM and other common sauna brands.
For wood-burning sauna stoves, larger stones are often recommended or used in combination with smaller stones to improve heat storage and steam distribution.
Before first use, rinse the stones with clean water to remove any dust. Stack the stones loosely in the heater to allow sufficient airflow between them. Proper placement improves heating efficiency and helps produce consistent and even sauna steam.
Stones with a size of 5–10 cm are typically used in electric sauna heaters, where good airflow between the heating elements is important. For wood-burning sauna stoves, larger stones (10–15 cm) are often recommended because they provide greater heat storage and slower heat release.

To maintain optimal sauna performance, sauna stones should be checked regularly and replaced if they become heavily cracked or start to crumble after extended use.
Warranty & Support – Private residential use: Manufacturer warranty coverage applies in accordance with the terms of the individual product and component and may extend up to two years. Private customers also receive a complimentary 1-year Polaris On-Site Repair Service within the mainland Republic of Ireland for accepted claims.
